Kathy and I traveled to England during mid-July and stayed about 5 weeks, returning on August 23rd. Most of the time we were at a cottage in a small village in the Cotwold area, near the town of Gloucester. Kathy kept me busy driving the car, approximately 2,400 miles during our stay. We were visited by Gary and Mary Lee, our friends from Versailles, and also by John & Sylvia from their home in Worthing, England. We also enjoyed our visits with Gary Jr. and Maureen, who currently live in London. Other than our time in the countryside, we took a ferry to Ireland for nearly a week, and we also stayed in London for several days before returning home. It was a nice vacation, although I was beginning to get a little tired of cloudy, rainy days.
